I think America will likely cease to be the democratic republic we have now within our lifetimes. There is a strong push for conservative values now, but the overall trend is a greater schism between Left and Right, and too many on the Right don't really want the absolute that is necessary to bring us back where we will need to be to save us from the <a href="http://www.spurgeon.org/downgrd.htm" title="Spurgeon and the Downgrade Controversy" rel="nofollow">downgrade</a>.
