We have summer school at our house. This year we’re continuing math and language all summer. I like to do school 4 days a week and by doing the days in the summer, we don’t waste days at the start of the next year doing review. And it gives us something productive to do when it is over 100 degrees outside. On those gorgeous April days, we cancel school due to good weather.
Last week Bethany had an interesting math question. Dave and I both solved it but it took a few minutes. It is a simple request:
Give me a dollar in change using 14 coins.
Are you smarter than a 4th grader? We each came up with different answers but the time it took us varied. If you have kids, give them the assignment and see if they get to the answer before you. You might be surprised.
